ÇADER’in; NABU-VGP Doğa Vakfı finanslı “Kuzey Kıbrıs Doğa Koruma Projesi” kapsamında Çatalköy’deki Eksersiz ve Oyun Parkında güzel bir havada ve her yaş grubunun katıldığı Ağaç ve Bitki Ekimi etkinliği bugün gerçekleştirildi.
Tüm katılımcıların mutlu ve güzel vakit geçirdiği etkinlikte; Özenle seçtiğimiz bitkiler (lavanta, hanımeli, biberiye, petunya, şinya, buddleja, jakaranda, mersin vb…) kuşların, kelebeklerin, arıların v.b. faydalı böceklerin çoğalmasına ve biyoçeşitliliğin artmasına yardımcı olacak 120 adet ağaç, çit ve bitki fidanları park alanına gönüllüler tarafından ekildi.

A “Communal Planting Event” was held in the Çatalköy Exercise and Playground Area within the scope of the “Nature Protection Campaign in the Northern part of Cyprus” project financed by NABU and VGP Nature Foundation. The event was held in beautiful weather and was attended by children, young adults and families.
All the participants had a good time and a total of 120 trees and bushes including lavender, rosemary honeysuckle, pistachio, buddleja, jacaranda and myrtle were planted by the volunteers.
The species of plants were carefully selected to attract birds, butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects adding to the richness of our biodiversity, making our village “Greener”.

• Faik Koyuncuoğlu, former Director of Forestry Department and an advisor to the project, whose experience enabled the event.
